TRUE CORE

Healing Through Self-Connection

LOMA FAMILAR is a California Certified Massage Therapist (#68665), bodyworker, and dancer. An East Coast native, LoMa made the transition from dancing professionally to therapeutic massage and the healing arts when she moved to Los Angeles in 2008. As a former dancer, she brings a unique and gentle language to her sessions. The wonder of the body and how it works, heals, and moves through life has been central to her careers as both a dancer and a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker.

LoMa has been developing TRUE CORE since 2008, when, dealing with multiple injuries from years of dynamic dancing, she was trying to find a new relationship to her body. TRUE CORE is a philosophy and experiential body-awareness technique which is deeply rooted in the axial body and how individuals relate to and language with their own bodies. She loves massage and its healing benefits. In order to address aspects of deeper connectivity, she incorporates the knowledge she gained through decades of dancing, Swedish Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Therapy, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Energy Work,
Reiki,
TRUE CORE and other bodywork modalities into her practice. She has also volunteered for several years, working with Therapeutic Horses using her therapeutic touch. This invaluable experience deepened and honed her nonverbal communication skills, which she believes are just as important as the verbal communication she encourages in her sessions with clients. "It is a great honor to support clients as they journey toward inhabiting, reinhabiting, discovering, and rediscovering their TRUE CORE."
