Work Slow

Rereading old notes...
Working SLOW is not the same as working SMALL, though they are related. If you work slowly, it can look small, but can resonate out in so many ways that it is actually very big. If you work slowly in the exploration between point A to point B, billions upon billions of options are available to you. But working quickly greatly diminishes the number of options available to you.
Older Generations often discourage youth from taking short cuts, that one should take the time to learn something all the way through so that you understand a process. Short Cuts prevent you from understanding what material is being skipped and when the short cut no longer works or is not an option, confusion occurs and lack of understanding of what actually needs to happen in a process. - 'Forcing' often results in a trauma.
Our body, our world

How we interact with our body is often an indicator of how we interact with the world.
The Blend
Monday, August 29, 2016
This work is really about trying to help bridge one's ability to blend the autonomic and somatic workings of the body - the sweet spot where those meet and blend. The central nervous system is very much a part of this work...feeling and letting the body guide you.

Standing Meditation

Notes from 2013
A standing mind/body meditation. Try to allow the body to settle where it wants to, without judgement, and then allow it to shift as it pleases. In the beginning, try not to conform to some sort of "dancer's neutral" but now allow the body to discover its own neutral, in that moment, on that day...almost always different than it has ever been before.
Let thoughts roll over whatever they want - the body or other life thoughts may present themselves. Allow them to be acknowledged and observe if the body is working on some shift that needed those specific thoughts as a catalyst, or just to move the mind out of the body's way.
The mind may wander into places of tension, or "empty" places. The body may want to find an "equal" feeling, or to go into greater "imbalance." Feel the motion; perhaps the body just wants to move into new places...seeking "Home Base."
Pain

We will explore pain when not exploring it is more painful than exploring it.
